
It's best to do this before you fly with the canopy. If the link catches, you'll find yourself in a situation where the model is rolling slowly in one direction or the other. Don't panic. Use the rudder to make a circle in the same direction of the roll. Each circle you do will bring the machine lower. Once you are a couple feet off the ground, hit throttle hold and feed in collective. As you add collective the link will operate normally.
Get out your Dremel. Do a nice job and finish it off with 400 grit sandpaper wrapped around something round. Give it about an 1/8 inch clearance.
